Crynodeb:This article aims to analyze the perceptions of teachers and directors of secondary schools, regarding the exercise of educational leadership in their schools. It has a methodology with a quantitative cross-sectional approach. For the collection of information, a survey was applied  using a Google Form to fifty teachers and principals. The survey proposes an integration of four dimensions that encompass the interpretation of effective educational leadership, such as the position and professional practice regarding the purposes of education, pedagogical beliefs, and good schools. The results show that there are significant differences in teachers and principals according to the years of seniority in the service, gender and the level of studies that the interviewees have.
